I feel like Rik and some of the other veterans are quite snarky a...

Good idea....Manning wrote: That grip is 4 or 5 years old. The best $12 I ever spent. I have mine tethered to the kayak. I clip it on the fish and leave them in the water while I get my camera out.

Hmmm....lead marinating in a fish's stomach and being absorbed in the bloodstream. Sounds tasty....

I had a great time and took my new Polar Bear Cooler on a test run down the Weeki Wachee yesterday. Thanks to Rik, the sponsors and everyone else who put this thing together.

Re: Bayside Bridge
There is a beach area just before you get on the Courtney Campbell Causeway where you could park and launch. It looks like it fills up quickly on the weekends, there are a ton of jet skis and I believe they charge money to park there on the weekends as well.

My wife and I made a trip out to the Withlacoochee River in Dunellon over the weekend. I've seen hundreds of these birds and they are typically very skittish. This particular "water turkey", as my FIL refers to them, was anything but.

fly fishing the Pacific Coast Highway
I was stationed in the Army near Seattle and spent what seemed like every non-working/sleeping hour on the Nisqually River chasing salmon. Check out Muir Woods, about an hour north of San Fran. My wife and I took a vacation out there a couple of years ago. Yosemite is only a few hours east of there.
