Re: My return to fishing

Maybe you should sell it & buy my Big Tuna. Plenty of room for your fishing buddy.

Re: PFTS #1 - Mystery Fish - October 11 - Southshore - CANCE

Glad to hear I didn't miss it, but not so glad to hear it was cancelled. Hope to make a few events this year if work will cooperate.

Re: Confession time

That's why I quit using Mirrordines. Seemed every time I used one, a snook would swallow the whole damn thing. I killed a few babies & felt terrible about it, haven't used one since.

Re: Cayo Costa & Boca Grande

Thanks, everyone! Really looking forward to the trip, despite the change in weather reports. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. Hopefully I will have some good pics & some video with the GoPro to post.

Re: Pinellas county kingfishing

Once they start hitting the beach in numbers, you can find them in plenty close enough. I had luck between John's Pass & St Pete Beach last year a couple times. Some big maks & some nice kings too. I don't get out as much as I would like these days, but definitely plan on getting out there s...

Re: Cayo Costa & Boca Grande

Perfect! Thanks for the heads up. Have heard the horror stories about all the people that take fishing way more seriously than me, so definitely trying to stay out of everyone's way. Hoping to find some snook during the morning, maybe get lucky with some smaller tarpon in the flats & surrounding...

Re: Ft. Desoto

Now is the time to make your way down to Ft Desoto. It's one of my favorite places to fish, but you can't pay me to fish there during the winter. Rik couldn't be more right about the holes, but even when I have found the fish there in the cold months, they are mostly small catches. Anyways, was just...

Cayo Costa & Boca Grande

Me & a buddy of mine are going to be camping out on Cayo Costa for a couple nights soon. Plan on fishing the whole three days we will be there, but neither of us have ever been. Think we will be leaving the kayaks at home for this trip & taking the boat instead. Anyone have any pointers for ...

Re: Tarpon topics

Dave, hearing that makes me feel a lot less bad for barely making it out there this summer. Got out a couple times with ideal mornings, but didn't see a single poon. Almost time to start hitting some bay spots though.

Re: Palma Sola Bay 2-10-13

Used my live well for the first time this past week. Kept shrimp alive just fine for the whole day & kept a red alive for at least 4 or 5 hours. Really want to add a rod holder somewhere but don't want rush into it. Want to make sure I get it right the first time. Like the anchor system, but aga...
