Re: Inexpensive Roof Rack!
Hey JB, I ended up taking off the headliner to put the bolts through. I do have a trailer that I'm working on, but it's not in any shape to be taking trips with currently (yet another project on the list). I also didn't want to have to pay for any more registration than necessary. I absolutely hate ...

Re: Inexpensive Roof Rack!
Good question Rik. You may have noticed in the background the pop-up camper in the garage. I often go camping and want to take the kayaks with me. Also, with the truck being a crew cab, and me having a toolbox in the bed, it is a fairly short space to support a kayak, even with a bed extender that w...

Inexpensive Roof Rack!
Howdy everyone. I hope that all are doing well and are having a great 2014! Recently, I purchased a Ford F-150 SuperCrew and had no way to carry kayaks. I wanted a roof rack, but I don't have the means to pay for a Thule or Yakima set (although they are very nice). I went down to LKQ Pick Your Part ...

Re: Convince me to use artificials
I would like to personally thank everyone that contributed to this post. I'm heading to the 10,000 Islands next week and with no live bait. Your recommendations have proved invaluable! I've condensed down all the recomendations and I am brining the following: 1/4 oz Aqua Dream Gold Spoon Bone-Color ...

Re: wading boots/shoes??
Columbia Drainmaker. No question the best kayaking shoe in the world. Check the Columbia Outlet at Ellenton on I-75 between Tampa and Sarasota for a good deal.

GPS/Fishfinder
Howdy Everyone! I hope that all of you are enjoying this AWESOME weather! I wanted to see what recommendations you would have for a GPS/Fishfinder Combo that would fit on a kayak. Durability and battery life are paramount. Inexpensiveness (if that's even a word) is also of importance. Have a great d...

Rudder Exchange
Howdy Everyone, I'm swapping the rudder on one kayak that I own for another. Taking everything off of the donor kayak is pretty straightforward, but I don't understand how to take the housing for the cables (that run through the hull) off of the donor kayak before installing them onto the new kayak....

Howdy Everyone
I have a couple of beloved fishing rods that have paid the price of kayak fishing and have a couple of guides/eyes missing from them. Anyone know a local place to purchase supplies for fixing rod guides? If not, any reputable online stores?
