short trip offshore

Pescar and I were at Phipps Park at day break. Our plan was to put in at Boynton and drift down to Phipps. The winds should have been 5 mph or less but were more like 10 to 15 and picking up in the afternoon. We change our plan and put in at the Lake Worth Pier. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/99...

Offshore kayak tournament

For the first time the Flotilla Fishing Tournament added kayaks to there K.D.B. offshore tournament. K.D.B. is king fish, dolphin, and bonito. Kayaks had their own deviation but could take the money from the power boats if they paddle out, catch their fish, and paddle in to the inlet and then paddle...

Offshore amberjack kayak fishing 6-21-08

Bugdoc, Pescar and myself at 5.30 am. WE dropped one car off north of Lake Worth and drove south to Boynton inlet. The road on A1A was closed due to road work so we had to go inland and around to put in. We made it to the inlet and the water was flat and there were a lot of boats catching bait. We g...

Offshore kayak fishing season off to a good start

Seas, 2 foot or less, wind 5 mph out of the southeast and afternoon Tstorms. Great weather for offshore kayaking. On the water at daybreak and off before noon. Well that was my plan. I was to meet my brother, David at sunrise. He wanted to paddle and take some pics, dose not fish much. He over sleep...

Munyon Island snook report 5-29

It was my last chance for a snook dinner and I had a few hours free in the morning. I put in as the sun was starting to come up at Munyon. http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/1737/imgp5040zt9.jpg Paddled to my snook spot. Casting a top dog on my first cast I hook up. A small snook comes to the kayak. h...

offshore bonito trip

I meet Pescar at sunrise. The seas were one foot and the sky's were clear. http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/4323/imgp4995ag4.jpg It was the first time out with the new kayak. I hooked a bonito on fly in 65 feet of water. It is hard to take a pic when you are hooked on fly, so no pics. I almost had...

I used a S.I.S. for years offshore. I love the speed of the kayaks. You must have a full skirt, a hand pump and know how to roll your kayak.
Make sure you go with another kayak.
