Re: Anyone using Jim Teeny flyline made for kayak fishing?

I just put it on one of my 8 weights. I haven't spent too much time with it, but my initial impression wasn't great. It seems to be heavy and awkward to me. It isn't tough to make a long cast with it, but shorter casts, especially soft casts, are mored difficult. I have a hard time landing it softly...

Re: Fly Rod Weight?

I'd take it to a fly shop and ask them if you can try a few different lines on it. They should be able to help you narrow it down. Since it is fiberglass, and probably really slow, you'll likely be able to throw a few different line weights with it. Go with whichever is most comfortable to you.

Re: Peacocks near Naples ?

My brother gave it a go a couple of weeks ago, but was unsuccessful fishing with shiners. I have a date with some tarpon in Matlacha this weekend, and am going to try to sneak down and give it a go if I have time...I'll report if we are able to get into anything.

Re: Customer Service "TEST"

I had the same thing happen to a pair of Costas a few months ago. I went to put them on and ended up with a piece in each hand. After their review, I paid a $50 frame fee, and they sent me a new pair. The pair that I sent in was discontinued, so I was allowed to choose any frame that I liked. Seemed...
