I've been told that the marks on the side are due to breeding or when it gets so cold out during the winter they brush up against the bottom of sea floor. Im not 100% sure why they have the markings. I usually spool it onto empty line spool.. then wrap onto another empty spool. then reel it back onto the reel. No knots or nothing.. Been doing it for years

This is by far my favorite kayak I have ever owned. Ive gone from Tarpon 140s the old and new models. I like them a lot but this kayak is my fave.
