Re: Zara Spook Jr.
Spook jr in bone is one of the best lures out there. I like fishing them in the mornings. Learn to walk the dog and you are set with that lure.

Re: Gunwale Repair
Just ordered my stuff from Eds Canoe. Good people and very helpful. Thanks for the ref. The new ones from Wenonah were just too expensive.

Gunwale Repair
The wood sides on my Wenonah have cracked from age. Does anyone out there know a wood working shop in Tampa that could cut some gunwales in ash wood?
Thanks!

Re: Doug Hannon strikes again
For what its worth. I have a "microguide" custom rod. I can cast that thing a country mile. i use straight mono however. I suspect that (depending on the rod of course) a uni-uni knot setup might not go through the guides as well. BUT that being said, by far its the most accurate casting r...

Re: Hurrah Creek/Lake w/pics
Hurrah Lake has public access, right off Thatcher road. You launch at the side of the bridge.
Thanks for posting the report! I fished from my canoe there once before. Its a neat place. There are actually quite a few places to launch around there, including inside the state park.

Renting a Hobie or Native
My wife asked the other day if we could rent foot powered kayaks around here. I honestly do not know. I have seen standard paddle powered ones but I don't want to let the opportunity pass by. Is there a place around here to rent Hobies or Natives?
Thanks in advance for any info!!

Maiden Launch of 82 Wenonah ECO
Took the family out this weekend for the maiden launch. At the Alafia River state park there is a hand launch that allows you to get to some of the lakes on the property. We decided to paddle up river to Hurrah lake. What a beautiful area. The weather was great too as there is not that much shade. I...

Got the new seats done today. Now just to let them dry before applying some sealer and then its launching time. Thanks for reading the previous comments. This really has been alot of fun. Now its time to do the maiden launch and some fishing! Fishindad http://lh4.ggpht.com/_RsUoQ81A9RI/Sn23zXeJrsI/A...
