Saturday Morning Report

Met Hooked and his friend Greg at the ramp around 0545 and we headed out. I had a blow on the topwater early that blew the thing about 6 ft through the air  Once out on the flats it didn't take long find a school of nice reds, and hooked up with the fatty before the sun was up. Sorry the pic ...

That was a lot of fun guys, I enjoyed it. Definately will be heading back down there to fish again. Its a beautiful area and great fishing location. The tournament was definately a different format, I've never fished side-by-side with someone while we both targeted catfish, pin fish or whatever else...

P13A, when I bring my measuring board (usually only during tournaments) I strap it down with the front hatch straps - where you have your pfd. It works fine, you can access it when your in the yak or when you are wading, and it is out of the way whilst paddling.

Nice red and new rig, Todd. I just had a rudder put on the 160i, it makes a huge difference, much more than I expected. See you on Friday.

I just passed on a $150 or so discount on a brand new t160i because it was not the color I wanted. Canoe Country got the color I wanted so tomorrow I'm paying full price, and I'm glad I made that decision. (even though camo is pretty hideous) the way I see it is if i'm ponying up the cash, I'm getti...

I've caught poons off sombraro beach (ocean side - marathon) first thing in the morning, and seen some biiiig snook right along the shore line. its a small park opens at 7am, pretty easy launch, just a short drag to the water. Theres a decent looking flat to the southeast with a little island. never...
