Since I move to N. C. I haven't seen much about the land of Oz. Do I have to come back to show some of the monster reds and trout that live there? Aside from that, I am living my fishing life vicariously through all of the other post you ladies :!: and gents :?: are posting. Since moving here I have...

Two things I've seen up here in the farm country of North Carolina are fibre glass fence stakes (about 5' long) and a type of solid pvc up to eight feet long that is used to stake out plants in gardens and yards. Both are about 3/4 of and inch in diameter and both are solid. They are available at mo...

I don't know very many of you, but the few that I do know and all that I have heard about most of you makes you a really great group of guys. So I don't want to see anything happen to any of you. You all know that you have that little do ...

Those whitefish are really hard to locate. Maybe it's because the blend in with the cover so well. Since leaving Florida my fishing has hit rock bottom. Can hardly wait for the spring weather to get here. Jimmy http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l285/anjovi6/Family/IMG_1262.jpg http://i99.phot...

First time there is a VERY long time. Things had changed from the normal spring patterns and areas in some ways. I was on the water before daylight en route to all my hot spots to check them out first. I kind of thought it might be a little tough with the bright moon at night. That was somewhat of a...

The fish are getting bigger, well sort of bigger. The Spanish Mackerel have spawned. The proof is in the picture. Next week the yak is going with me. I'll try one or two days around the Honeymoon area and a couple of days around Ft. Desoto and the north Skyway area. I'll be launching about 4:30 each...

I had one of those birdie things on my very first attempt at flyfishing in the salt. Mine was caused by a small trout. I very quickly discovered that replacing the line ain't cheap. Tough break, but at least you didn't go home minus part of your rod.
