Re: It’s been a long time

Yes. I remember thise days. Every day the chat rioms had people in them, and the message boards were active.
Times have changed, and people have moved on. Ill check here from time to time, and hope some old timers show up.

It’s been a long time

I have been out of paddle fishing since 2011, but I’m finally getting back into it. I always enjoyed this site, and the events it had. I was hoping it was still active. Is anyone in the Tampa Bay Area still active on here?

I just got back to Florida Jake, and it will take me a week or 2 to get settled in to my place in Arcadia, but then I will be available any time for any place. I just spent a few months out in Texas, with the intention of staying there (I thought it was the best option), but I just couldn't be away ...

No problem Rich, I am glad to be able to provide so much humor for everyone. Just remember this, when I was your age I could pole vault across the street on mine. Thus the screen name. All of the great athletes eventually fall apart, and they are left with only memories. However, the glory of their ...

I must say, if ever there is a need for smart@&# proofreaders, the positions could be filled quickly by members of p-f.com.

Thanks buc for covering all the possibilities. At least there was no mention of barnyard animals ot inanimate objects.

note to self : Self, wear glasses whenever posting on paddle-fishing.com. note to everyone else: That should have read degenerative disk disease. With that said, I have been celebate for several years and have not paid much attention to the "little fella" and it is entirely possible he ha...

I fixed many of my back problems by losing weight, and then kayaking for about three years and gaining it back and mines great as long as I don't lift anything heavy. I have bad degenerative dick disease in my lower back and neck. I also found that as I lose weight the pain eases off more and more....

Dynamic Duo

I just wanted to share my opinion (for what it's worth) on how well the tournament went today. I was impressed with the organization of the event. Everything ran just as expected, in fact better than expected. The weather and tides were perfect for the event and, from what I saw, everyone enjoyed th...

Isn't It about time to plan a paddle in / camping trip?

It won't be long and the weather will be cooling off enough to make tent camping more enjoyable. There are also a lot of new members who have never experienced a paddle in. There must be someplace that will accomodate a group of drunken heathens and their questionable behavior. Someplace with enough...

I agree with Heywood on the seat issue. As for the crack in these pictures, it looks like someone forced a milk crate or overtightened straps over the crate (possibly during transport). I also recommend the hippo patch. I helped a friend out in texas repair an Ocean Kayak with a very similar crack. ...

Very nice. Congrats on the fat redfish and the good friend. Both fish and photos are top notch and would make anyone proud.
We really are fortunate to have some very talented fisherpeople, photographers and even innovators on this site.

Well done, very well done.

Point me to where it went in and I will get it.....for a nominal fee of course. I'm like Redfisher, I would and have gone in for less than a rod and reel. I went in 10 feet of water after my pocket knife once. It's only water, it dries. Sorry to hear about it though. I find myself going out way too ...

Who is the over medicated fisherman? The picture is not clear enough to make out, but he does look familiar.
