I have parked in the kayak area until 10 or 11:00 PM with no problem.

There is no parking allowed after 11:00, but I know some people that ignore the rule and launch flats boats near the jetski launch area then stay out all night with no ticket and no theft or vandalism.

Check this link, scroll down and point to different colors and it explains what each color is used for. I think mine are amber, and they work well for early morn and late day conditions, but not as well during mid day. http://www.costadelmar.com/SeeOutThere/Technology/PureLensPerfection/index.cfm?

I use the higher tab one but I dont think it matters. You really dont even have to strap it in solo, the rear thwart bar will stop you from moving back and I actually like being able to slide forward. I have found that I like using the straps to stop my seat from sliding all way back to the thwart ...

How about a report on Honeymoon Island. I am going there on Sunday morning. I wanted to fish there today but my Son had a playoff game (flag football) at 9:00, which they won 13-12, and are now advanced into the Championship game at Noon. I'll pass on fishing for one of his games anytime. Go Dunedin...

I always wanted to find one that had the batteries at the rear and the light on the front. It seems to me it would balance things out better.

Thanks for the info about deet, I always had some concern about it, but had no idea it would damage plastics.

Rub your plastic kayak down with deet and then watch what happens, you will think twice about ever putting that on your skin.

I was considering doing the same. Will you use the State Street put in or the Park? I would like to know which spot people prefer launching from.
