Re: Seadek nonskid pads

A little cheaper idea for the floors of kayaks are yoga mats. Cut them down to fit the area you are going to stand on. Leftover material can be placed in areas to help reduce the noise of loose items. They are easy on the feet when standing for long periods and don't hold odors and don't slip. I've ...

Re: Spot Creepers

I was asked by someone I work with to take her "dying" husband, who is a bass tournament fisherman, saltwater fishing. So I took him and his daughter out on a couple of occasions and we had some really good fishing. Good karma, right? This guy loved it. Someone even ended up donating a boa...

Re: Once in a lifetime catch 7/31

Here's a little more of the story. I caught it with a mirrolure white lil' John. When I got it up on the beach and realized what I had for sure it spit the hook and started flopping for the water. I threw my rod and pounced on it like it was a fumbled football. There would be no way anyone would of ...

Well done, oh how I wish we had a population of those up here.
Maybe we ask for some stocking to be done by the FWC

Yea! Wouldn't that be terrible. What am I going to go fish for today? Reds, tarpon, snook, and bonefish and Without having to drive 3-5 hours south.

Re: Once in a lifetime catch 7/31

Twice we have seen a small school of permit up the manatee river. Spooky and never wanting what we offered.
The first time we couldn't believe what we were seeing. The 2nd time, weeks later, they were working the same area and we couldn't connect.

Once in a lifetime catch 7/31

Walking longboat key this am with my friends John and Cindy jigging for snook in the surf and I caught a bonefish. I have never caught one but knew it wasn't a snook when it took off. I even joked about it being a bonefish as it made quick runs. I honestly had no idea what I had hooked. I've heard o...

The Boga came in handy to control the fish at boatside. Notice how I support the full weight of the fish...............

Alright! Mine arrived via 18 wheeler to my door today looking like it just came off the shelf. The driver ended up being an avid paddler and was impressed by the U12. I have plenty of things in mind for my U12 and have been rolling ideas around in my head. Got to raise the seat up 3-4"s, dual a...

I think the idea is to raise it up just a few extra inches but maybe he is looking for extra support for when he has the seat up on the sides so the pan doesn't flex?

Those were some of the biggest trout I have caught in our waters to date. The reds were elusive for sure. Next time I'll take your pictures. I will tell you the secret........ ultra lite tackle, you can see in the 2nd picture that the rods can fit in your back pockets. This is the outrigger method. ...
