Re: Looking for a place to start
Well thanks for the info. I'm gonna look into it this summer. Got an idea or 2 to customize a rod or 2 to use in the kayak. Something with a short butt so it doesn't cut into my casting forearm.

Re: Looking for a place to start
I checked out their diy videos. Doesn't look like rocket science. Think I'm gonna give it a try.

I haven't been to this forum for ages and now I find I need a couple of fishing rods that don't exist. newbie to sun city center
Haven't been on the forum for awhile but i just moved from new port richey to sun city center. Seen some nice looking water but i never like to fish alone, especially in an area i'm not familiar with. Any of you guys fish down this way?

camera for a kayak
My olympus stylus 710 has gone south on me for the second time and I don't want to put good money after bad. When I bought it the 710 was considered a good camera for being on the water but I know how technology changes. What's the consensus on a new yak proof camera?

I love my hobie
I've got a hobie, love it and live in NPR. I'm always looking for an excuse to go fishing. I know where the snook are stacked like cord wood. If you can show me how to get them to bite I'll show you where they are. Just give a holler...post or pm

Pflueger Reels?
I was shopping for a new (3-4000 size) reel for a new rod I have. I went into the store thinking Okuma V series ( I have 3 Epixors that are over 10 years old and work perfectly) The gentleman behind the counter showed me to a couple of Pflueger reels..... President and Medalist. They look real solid...
