Heal thyself and come back across the pond for a visit soon i'll be back hun, just dont know when. Next year we are planning on returning to the Lake district for our vacation. A week at least exploring that area and then Wales, Cornwall and London, for a week each. we will have to get some fishing...

apologies for not being around, simply had way to much stuff on my plate.

no fishing for me due to injuries from a car accident, am on the mend though so hopefully i will be able to get out soon.

Arrived at the river trent at around 07:00 with mark. With the recent rain, the water looked good, up a bit and nicely coloured. I had taken with me, 2 rods for barbel, 2 lures rods, one heavy one med/heavy as well as all the bits and bobs to go with them. Bob and his son keith were already there so...

Were you actually after redfish?? :lol: they are deadly for pike, i use the capt. mikes, they are called "mullet tails", i like his lures a lot. That is some neat looking terrain. Is the area outside the canal marshy or is that dry grass fields beyond the canal? its all agricultural land ...
