You still have any XL T-shirts? Do you ship? I'm WAY over here in the middle of the Pacific 96734. Mahalo.

My flexible Eagle Canoe (LONG)

ALOHA Kakou! I bought my 11' Fiberglass American Eagle Canoe back in 2004 but due to several back surgeries and recovery time didn't get to use it for over 3 years after purchase. I got it so I could throw it on back of my truck and fish almost anywhere, just throw on a small outboard and head on ou...

FYI Exude Clearance

Surfing the net last night I went to the Mister Twister website and discovered some of the discontinued color Exude baits were on clearance at substantial savings. Needless to say I bought a bunch of Exude shrimp, and crabs, etc. Along with the clearance price you also get another 20% off the total ...

Fabricated a transducer mount which fits the starboard rod holder, had to add a brace (gray PVC pipe) to the mount to prevent twisting from drag, now can run my fish finder in her. Rowing has it's advantages: Can keep constant eye on both rods and the fish finder at same time. http://img.photobucket...

My Dad's Legacy- Pearson Rowing Dory

I know she's neither a kayak nor a canoe but she is human powered and very special to me, she is a gift from my dad. My Father passed away over a year ago on June 15, 2007, and among other things he left me his 15'6" Pearson Rowing Dory. It sat weathered and neglected for several years in his b...

That looks great- simple, inexpensive, effective. I got a set of these battery nav lights from Cabela's: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=netcon&id=0019050017532a&navCount=3&podId=0019050&...

Sorry for late reply, got caught up in new local Yak fishing forum (www.aquahunters.com), and distracted by recent back fusion surgery and ongoing recovery. I like both designs. Especially your last one. Is that 3/4" PVC you are using? Thanks for sharing. I used 1.25 ID PVC with wood closet rod...

That shrimp pattern would work great here in the islands on our Bonefish and Trevally.

Extremely cool BearsFan. I lived on Maui for 12 years before moving back here to Oahu but back on Maui I lived in rural farmland and my landlord a farmer always asked me to do him a favor by shooting as many pheasants, and francolin (African Partridge) as I could since they were a numerous agricultu...

Uncle Ji, What size hook are you using for those algae flies? It sure sound like fun catch mullet on the fly, I see huge schools of them almost every time I go out. I believe they are #6 size in a style known locally as a AH hook which is almost identical to your Kahle hook which should work just a...

I live on a canal a mile up from the ocean and another mile upstream is a private 90 acre brackish water pond and on the far side of this are mud flats averaging about 2 feet in depth covered with a growth of seaweed and on these flats are schools of hundreds of Milkfish averaging 10 to 15 pounds. T...

I just got from Albright at 70% off a 8'6" 7/8wt Yellowstone fly rod ($20.00), and a 7/8 Topwater reel ($14.70), but also went to Sierra Trading Post and picked up among other things a Reddington 9' 3/4 weight rod for $24.00. I'm a relative newbie as far as fly fishing is concerned catching mai...

I too use a medium viscosity Cyanoacrylate adhesive (the runny stuff glues my fingers together before I notice), then top off with NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in clear. Sometimes I'll even mix up a batch of 5 minute epoxy when I feel energetic.
