As I was coming home from ICAST yesterday, I came across this accident. Fearing that it was someone I might know, I turned around and lended a hand.
Distracted while reaching for a water bottle, the truck caught the curb, got pulled off into the medium and then into a drainage ditch. Luckly the young man was ok.
Kayaker and kayak live to paddle another day.

All that matters is that the guy is ok. The truck and the kayak can be replaced.

Glad he is okay. I see stuff like this and I have to wonder how in the heck can that happen, all you have to do is keep it going in a straight line for crying out loud. Oh well, just a little carelessness goes a long way, fortunately he didn't take someone else with him, too.

All I can say is I am impressed with his bungie cording. All that stuff stayed right where it belonged in his kayak.
