Kayak seems Safer!

Post by NarcSgt »

Went out fishing yesterday in the yak to Emerson Point. Caught some awesome trout.

Just an observation... All day I saw sharks attacking schools of fish all around me. Thew sand bars were packed with them.

I watch three waders way out in the water fishing....

Lets see.....you catch a fish that is sending out a distress signal and you pull him up to your legs. He is a keeper....you attach the fish via a stringer to your belt loop.

Someone help me with this.......please!

Never had a problem wading but learned years ago from my brother to never attach a stringer to yourself. They can and probably will be eventually attacked.

Two guys have had shark bites in the Anna Maria area recently. As I recall, one had a stringer and the other had just emptied is bait bucket and was standing in the middle of it. I have waded around sharks a lot, but you can't be stupid.
