Re: Cross Bayou - Joe's Creek?
Hey Barry, Google Earth some places on this side of the bay, like "The Kitchen" or if you live North, try Picnic Island or the VFW off Westshore South. I've been fishing an OOOLD fishin ground of mine re-discovered and it's producing fairly well. Everybody wants to stay North of that chem...

Re: Cross Bayou - Joe's Creek?
Thanks. I see it. But is the fishing really worth driving over there from Tampa?

Re: Cross Bayou - Joe's Creek?
Joe's Creek flows into Cross Bayou. I'm not sure where and am hoping someone will post with further info. I've never fished that area before. Edit: It's actually Saint Joes Creek and it comes into Cross Bayou just north of the Park St. bayou overpass on the east side. It's between Park St. and Park ...

No, it's not. Joe Island is on the south side of the Skyway.

Cross Bayou - Joe's Creek?
I was talking to a kayaker (not a fisherman) this morning and he said that he sees a lot of fish caught in Cross Bayou/Joe's Creek area. He told me that there's a launch on Park St. south of Park Blvd. Any info........good or bad?
Thanks,
Barry
Thanks,
Barry

Catfish suck! (am I allowed to say that?) Fortunately, I'm not allergic but it does hurt like hell for awhile.

Nice day and great to take the kids fishing. The last pic reminds me why I don't take the yak out in freshwater!!!

American Legion Post - South Tampa
I've been fishing the flats around the Legion for over 20 years. Went there this morning to launch my new Malibu Mini-X kayak and one of the members told me that non-members can't use the launch any longer. He said that they've been having problems with kids lately and want to keep non-members off t...

You should take a look at the Sherpak Smart Bars This is one the the Best systems instead of going with the Yamiha or Thule The Smart Bars are universal and do not point load the roof - PBR used to have a set of these for his canoe http://www.mastheadsailinggear.com/pc-26499-2556-sherpak-smart-bars...

Re: Transporting my kayak
Here some pictures of a kayak trailer made from a Harbor Freight foldable trailer. I should work, but it seems like someone would make roof racks for a Honda Civic. That's what I thought, too, but I even spoke to someone at either Thule or Yakima and they aren't aware of any. No rain gutters and th...

Transporting my kayak
Okay, here's the deal. I have a 2001 Honda Civic 2 door coupe with a sunroof. There are no rain gutters, nor do the rear windows open. I only have about six inches between the front of the sunroof and the windshield. I've tried the foam blocks but it's very difficult to line them up properly. They a...
