Were the kids planning on mowing the grass flats?DoubleM wrote:By doing so did they limit the launch area to kayaks? I know people launch other small crafts there such as skiffs, geenoes, etc. One day I saw some kids launching a 16' boat with a lawn mower.

Re: Weedon has been very good to me
Not a bad day at all!! Sounds like you launched on the inside and fished the trail all the way thru to the outside. I've been wanting to do that but I've been advised that if you're not familiar with the trails it's easy to take the long, long way to the outside. I have a Malibu Mini-X and it's just...

Re: First time at Weedon
There are several cuts thru the small islands just off Weedon that can be very good on a moving tide. Reds and snook mostly. Outside flats have lots of trout. Re: Foul Weather Grand Slam 10/28
With tropical moisture from Rina and the onset of another cold front on the horizon, I wasn't quite sure what the bite would be like today. I started the morning off by poling my favorite flat, a flat that no matter how many times I fish, it still seems unfamiliar to me. The water receded slower th...

Sure looks like an Atlantic Croaker to me. I caught a whiting this morning and it really didn't look like that at all.
