We-no-nah Solo Plus

The Wenonah Solo Plus is one of the finest canoes on the market.  Jose Suro went to Wenonah and had them make some changes.  He had them turn the boat into the ultimate flyfishing canoe.

His boat is constructed of a Kevlar Layup with an ivory
gelcoat finish. The trim is anodized aluminum.  The Solo Plus in it's original form is 16' 6" in length. The  configuration had a center seat a nd two smaller seats at the stern and bow. The major change was to place one webbed seat with no cant 9 1/2 feet back from the bow.  They also added a thwart about 6 feet from the bow. The result is a clean, elegant flyfishing machine.  There is plenty of open space to stand and cast.  The boat is stable and tracks like an arrow.

This shot shows the length and shape of the Solo Plus.

The bow thwart holds a GPS. Notice how the flyrods fit snuggly (and safely out of the way) into place. The view towards the stern shows the cane seat.
